The Electricity Supply Number

(METERING POINT ADMINISTRATIVE NUMBER - MPAN)

 

 

To correctly complete an electricity comparison you must be able to provide your 'supply' number.

 

The two most important numbers are the 'Profile' and 'Distributor Code'.

 

If you are making a simple domestic comparison your profile will be either 01 (single rate) or 02 (day/night rate).

Small business 'quarterly' billed profiles are 03 and 04 with the monthly profiles being 05 to 08.

Large business will have a 00 profile along with a telephone communication link to collect consumption data.

For domestic customers use your supply details and can visit the web site and view the latest available rates.

 

 

Distribution Identifier Codes
Identifies which PES’s Local Distribution Network the customers’ Metering Point is connected to.

The following two digit codes are used:
