£1,000 (73,000 kilowatt hours (kWh)) you can obtain a gas supply from any licensed domestic gas

Electricity
If you have an annual electricity bill of less
than £800 (12,000 kWh) you can obtain an electricity supply from any
licensed domestic

The difference between the two categories is that there are more safeguards in place to protect domestic customers, whereas business customers are able to negotiate their contract directly with their electricity supplier or authorized consultant (i.e. Utilities-Online).
